To apply for WPI Certification, please enroll in the correct application on Certemy, our Certification Management Software. If you are new to the Certemy platform, please register for a new account. If you already have a Certemy account, please select “Sign In” to ensure the new application gets added to your existing account. After you have used the initial link, please use wpi.certemy.com for all future login attempts. From there, you will want to complete all steps assigned to you- including filling out general information, work experience, education, payment, and the attestation. Once all steps are complete, WPI staff will review your application. Once approved, you will receive an email from our testing service partner, PSI, with instructions on how to set up your computerized exam at one of their testing locations located all over the world.
In order to pass, you must receive a score of 70 or above. Scores get sent back to WPI Staff, and if you pass, a certificate will be issued. If you fail, you will enter the “Reexamination” step in Certemy. You will have to pay an additional fee and complete the attestation again. You must wait 30 days between testing attempts, and have 6 months of eligibility from the date of your first application approval to take the exam. If it has been more than 6 months, you will have to completely reapply. Please allow 30 days for processing before inquiring about your status.

Our team can help answer your certification questions.
How do I find out if my program has mandatory certification? Contact the certifying authority for the state or province where you work to determine if mandatory certification is required for the area of certification in which you are interested.
My program does not have mandatory certification. What should I do next? If there is not a mandatory certification program, you may apply for any class level for which you qualify based on certification, examination, education and experience requirements. Individuals without a current certification must begin with the Class I (lowest level) exam. A score of 70 or above is required to pass the exam. PSI testing centers may not be available in all countries. Please contact us for assistance and information on testing through a local proctor. You may email us at certification@gowpi.org.
My program has mandatory certification. What should I do next? If there is a mandatory certification requirement, please contact your certifying authority for information on applying to their program. You may still apply for the WPI Voluntary Certification Program, however, WPI can not guarantee that your local jurisdiction will accept the WPI Certification. An exception is made if WPI offers certification levels higher than those offered in your work jurisdiction. In this situation, you may apply for a certification level above your current level of certification, provided you meet all certification requirements at that level.
